Significant Experiences

The Giacchetti family brothers and sister - known as The Chicago Eight

This family prides itself in having eight members of the WWII era - All of Paul's six brothers and one sister served in WWII - and the youngest brother, Paul, saw action in the Korean War.  Unlike the Sullivan brothers, fortunately the Giacchetti's all came home even though two of them were wounded.  Today, only three of are left.  Hugo (recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star & Combat Infantryman Badge) , Etorre (who served in the European Theater of Operation) and Lexington's Paul (Korea) , who serves on the Lexington Veterans Honor Guard.  A very patriotic family and quite a story.
