Alan Klitzkie received his Masters Degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin and joined the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers.  He served the majority of his time in Germany as part of the Occupation Forces having been honorably discharged in March of 1956.  He was a member of the VFW in Madison, Wisconsin.  He and his wife, Geraldine lived in the winter months at Southmont Cove and have three children and four grandchildren.
