| SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCES
Bill Wenner joined the Navy during the Korean War in 1952 and served through 1956. He served the majority of his time in Little Creek, Virginia on LST 1144 and the 3rd Naval District, Brooklyn, New York on a Destroyer DE 745 - Reserve Training He and his wife, Jane, lived in the winter months in the Villa Homes neighborhood. |
William Wenner passed away in Ft. Myers on September 20, 2002 and is buried in Long
Island, New York with full military honors.
