SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCES

Bob joined the U.S. Army in 1941 and became a Quartermaster and first served overseas in the North African Campaign.  When Allied Forces successfully concluded that major effort he was sent to Italy in the 5th Army Support Transportation until the war's end. Before shipping overseas he had successfully completed officers training and was commissioned a 2nd Lt. 

He decided to enlist in the Army Reserves where he rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel and retired in 1970.  During that time he served the Army Reserves in the Public Relations Division  with the 390th Civil Affairs Group.

 He and his wife, Peggy, were long time residents in the Lake Village until she died in 2003.  Shortly after he moved to an Assisted Living Community in Fort Myers.

Robert Wildey passed away in Fort Myers on February 11, 2006 and was buried at Lower Brandywine Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware.
