SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCES

Jeanne worked with the Dutch Underground during World War II and was employed as an interpreter for the U.S. Army and later the Army's Counter-Intelligence Division as an Investigator and worked on assignments all over Europe.  During her military duty, she met and married Lt. James W. Gordon, an Army Doctor.  She became a U. S. Citizen in 1948 and has the distinction of being one of the first war brides to do so.

 

Jeanne Gordon passed away at Lexington on March 23, 2001 and is buried in Winamac, Indiana.
