SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCES
Bill served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during WWII hauling supplies to Biak and the Philippines. He and his group brought back wounded and sometimes Prisoners of War operating out of Australia and New Guinea. On one occasion Bill and his air crew had a crash in midair over Japanese held territory but managed to land safely. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Lexington Veterans Association. He and his wife, Lorrie, lived in the Estate Homes. |

"Bill" Myers passed away in Fort Meyers on July
17, 2005. A service complete with the Veterans Honor Guard was
held at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers. He was cremated and his
ashes will be buried in Michigan.
